Privacy Policy

Effective September 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Minsight ("Minsight," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our websites, applications, communications, and mineral asset analysis services (collectively, the "Service").

Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and contact information. Your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, login credentials, and communication preferences.
  • Documents and mineral asset information. Revenue statements and other documents you upload, along with well, property, operator, ownership, payment, and related information contained in or derived from those documents.
  • Billing information. Subscription status, transaction details, and billing identifiers. Payments are processed by Stripe, which collects payment-card and related information under its own privacy notice. We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
  • Communications. Information you provide when you contact us, request support, respond to surveys, or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Usage and device information. Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages or features used, actions taken, and dates and times of access.
  • Information from other sources. Mineral, well, property, filing, ownership, and contact information from public records, government agencies, data providers, and other users or customers who are authorized to provide it.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Process uploaded documents and create mineral asset analyses, ownership summaries, reports, maps, and related results;
  • Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, provide support, and administer subscriptions and payments;
  • Send transactional messages and, where permitted, marketing communications that you may opt out of;
  • Understand Service usage, measure campaigns, troubleshoot errors, and develop new or improved features;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and other harmful or unlawful activity; and
  • Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights and the rights and safety of others.

We may use information from public sources to identify and contact people who may be interested in the Service and to improve or verify mineral asset information.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information:

  • To vendors that perform services for us, including cloud hosting, file storage, document processing and AI/OCR, payment processing, authentication, email delivery, analytics, and customer support;
  • To professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and financing sources subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations;
  • To government authorities or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of the Service;
  • In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business or assets; and
  • At your direction or with your consent.

We may also disclose information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it does not reasonably identify an individual.

We do not sell personal information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We also do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own targeted advertising. We may disclose information to service providers and other parties for the purposes described in this Policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect the Service, remember preferences, and measure how a visitor reached us. Some cookies are necessary for the Service to function. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, but doing so may cause parts of the Service to stop working.

Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain business and financial records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention periods vary based on the information and why we hold it. Uploaded documents and related artifacts are subject to our document-retention schedule. Backups and records required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or billing purposes may remain for a limited period after account deletion. Public-record information may remain in our records after an account is deleted.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • You may review or update account information and communication preferences in your account settings.
  • You may opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us. You will still receive necessary account and Service messages.
  • You may delete your account through account settings. Account deletion removes your sign-in access and de-identifies your core account record; other information is handled according to the retention practices described above.
  • You may ask questions about your information by emailing us at the address below.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email.
